Mobile Contraband and Weapons Incinerator

Law enforcement agencies regularly seize guns and contraband. Storing seized weapons and contraband is a burden: it takes up valuable space, must be stored securely, and requires meticulous record keeping. Regulations can make destroying firearms and contraband a more significant burden than storing them – until recently.
Watch how they prepare the mobile incinerator for travel.

A Nevada company now provides mobile contraband and weapons destruction services for Police and law enforcement agencies in several states. We were honored to supply a custom-built mobile incinerator that brings cost-effective contraband and weapon destruction to an agency’s doorstep.

Firelake Manufacturing built a custom incinerator and mounted it on a client-supplied, lowboy fifth-wheel trailer to travel America’s highways and byways from one law enforcement agency to another.

One tall challenge was the incinerator’s stack – too tall for the open road. Firelake engineered a removable secondary stack system that mounts and removes the secondary stack.

The custom P50-SC8 mobile Firelake incinerator features:

  • 1650 lb (181 kg) chamber capacity
  • 42 cu ft chamber volume
  • 26 ft lowboy trailer
  • Custom system to remove and secure the secondary stack for travel and mount the stack for incineration
  • 1,000 lb incinerator lid with a custom wench system to lift and lower the lid
  • Self-contained diesel-powered electric generator to power the incinerator
  • Federal DOT-certified diesel fuel tank
  • 100% digital controls
  • Easy to tow with a standard dually truck

Their mobile Firelake incinerator has the same impressive features as all Firelake incinerators.

  • Cost-effective. Budget-friendly to purchase, operate, and maintain.
  • Easy to use. Two technicians can convert the incinerator from travel-ready to inceration-ready and back to travel-ready. One person can start incineration in less than one minute. The incinerator runs through its cycle and then shuts off automatically.
  • Easy to load and unload. There is a large lid for easy loading and a large lower door to rake out ash and remnants.
  • Effective. Reduces organic materials by 96% and renders inorganic materials harmless.
  • Smoke-free and smell-free. The incinerator emits no noticeable smoke or smell. It meets or exceeds municipal emissions requirements.
  • Energy efficient. The insulated, refractory-lined chamber walls and stack retain energy.
  • Durable. Painted steel-plated structural exterior with 2,800F interior high-temperature casing, refractory-lined chambers, factory-cured chambers, and stacks, plus reinforcements for highway travel.
